Charities we Support
The Ashlea Team stands by its core values and supporting both local and national charities is a crucial part of this.
Giving Back to our Community; Acting with Kindness & Showing Compassion; Treating all with Dignity and Respect; are all values we hold to a high standard and having the opportunity to volunteer our time and raise money for charity is a crucial part of this.
Whether it’s sponsoring our clients or staff for fundraising events, volunteering (and drinking!) at the Samaritans Craft Beer Festival or baking (and eating!) cake at our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning the whole Team gets involved!

Friends of the Cheltenham Samaritans
The Friends of the Cheltenham Samaritans has been supporting the Cheltenham branch of the Samaritans since 1979 and have raised an incredible £350,000. Cheltenham Samaritans was founded in 1963 and offer support to those in distress in and around Cheltenham. This local branch receives no central funding and relies entirely on donations.
The Samaritans’ vision is that fewer people die by suicide. Samaritans volunteers respond to a call for help every 10 seconds, they are there day and night for anyone struggling to cope and who need someone to listen without judgement or pressure.
Ashlea has sponsored the Craft Beer Festivals for several years now, and have also enjoyed the opportunity last few years to volunteer our time helping to set up the venue and even pulling pints!
Cheltenham Open Door
Founded in 1992, this is a small charity with a big heart who provide food, friendship, and support to vulnerable, disadvantaged, and lonely people in and around Cheltenham, including those experiencing mental health difficulties and those isolated from friends and family or sleeping rough They receive no central funding and rely entirely on donations, making every penny we raise crucial as all services are provided to their guests free of charge.
After an overwhelming response to our first appeal in 2023, our food and gift drives have become an annual event, well supported by our generous clients, neighbours and professional connections. Collections take place throughout the whole of December and donations delivered to Open Door just ahead of Christmas.
Macmillan Cancer Support
Because cancer can affect people’s lives in so many ways, Macmillan Cancer Support does whatever it takes to give people the physical, emotional and financial support they need. Nearly 98% of their income is from voluntary donations, and this goes to provide their full range of services, from specialist cancer nurses to information booklets and support groups.
Ashlea has taken part in Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for over 10 years hosting an Annual Coffee Morning for our clients and friends to share delicious cakes and raise money.
