For many years Ashlea’s office was based in its founder’s home on Hatherley Road, in 2019 we moved to our current home on the Promenade. We felt strongly that buying generic prints for the walls was not what we wanted and that is how Art@123 was created. By exhibiting work from local artists, we are not only creating a bright and welcoming space for our staff to work and for clients to visit, but we are also supporting the incredible art community of Cheltenham.
Art@123 is unique because instead of artists paying to exhibit their work, Ashlea compensates the artist for the loan of their art for the 4-month duration, and any proceeds from sold work is solely for the artist, with no commission paid to Ashlea. We host a launch event so the artists can invite guests to view their exhibit and the invitation is opened to our clients giving them the opportunity to not only view the art, but also see their adviser and the Ashlea Team outside of their Annual Review.
The benefits for the Ashlea staff are also noticeable, having a variety of art to look at brightens up our working environment. With the work changing every few months there is always a buzz around change over day and what will be on display next! 6 years on and Art@123 is thriving, we have hosted 12 exhibits, showcasing the work of over 27 artists with a further 6 exhibits already booked right through 2025 and 2026!
