This year, 2015, is an important one for Ashlea Financial Planning Ltd as we approach our 10th Anniversary. The anniversary of the setting up of the company is in April, and the authorisation with the FSA/FCA in June. We plan to have some events to celebrate these dates which we will let you know about later.
As you know we took Lauren on as an apprentice in January last year. She has come through her apprenticeship year with flying colours and we are pleased to announce that we have now taken her on as a permanent member of staff.
In addition we took on Nik in September and he has been instrumental in helping with the update of our website which we hope will be launched before the end of the tax year. The addition of another qualified advisor will, I hope, lead to further expansion for Ashlea to ensure future continuity.
This does means that we have greater capacity for new clients, so if you have friends and relatives who might benefit from the personal financial planning service that we offer, we hope that you might send them our way.
You all know Sue well; she provides the backbone to the business. She is technically very competent, very well organised and a huge asset to ensuring that we provide the best possible service to you, our clients.
Paul, my husband, works diligently in the background. As the Company Secretary he is responsible for ensuring that the finances are kept well on track and that returns to the FCA are accurately produced and on time. Although not a client facing role this is essential to the smooth running of the company.
Last but not least, some of you might have spoken to Clara during the year. She is our part time helper who comes in once a week at the moment. We discovered that she has marketing qualifications and so she has been very much involved in the discussions on website design and makes a valuable contribution to the team.
